    Great to hear from Broc who shared some of the behind-the-scenes work that he does for Newsbud.
    One thing you mentioned Spiro towards the end:
    No member of the Newsbud team is a marketing fact we all despise it…

    I understand the gist of what you were trying to convey. However I don’t think there is anything inherently wrong with a ‘marketing professional’.
    In fact, I think a good marketing professional might be just what Newsbud needs at this time to help us succeed with our funding goals.

    Just something to consider as we move forward. Just as there are free-lance editors, writers, producers etc. who have the requisite integrity Newsbud seeks, so too do some choice marketing professionals.

      I agree with you totally. Newsbud / BFP desperately needs marketing knowledge. Marketing is not a dirty word or profession.

      • Um actually it is at least in the way it is usually handled. But yeah, an honest decent marketeer, if such a thing exists, would be useful. Also, turning to more physical media, like billboards, would help as it would be harder to block. There is definately some digital screwing about that is limiting Newsbud’s reach.

          I agree with you on the fact that Main Stream Marketing is nasty… no argument there…

          But Marketing is not only Advertising and billboards. There are many activities that you could do every day that will contribute indirectly to marketing.. For example.

          If the report writers, or contents creators on Newsbud would “bother” themselves to respond to questions or comments the readers make with regards to their article.. This action would be part of “marketing” the site as a responsive two-way community..

          There are many little things like this that would “market” Newsbud without having to accept money from “Dr. Evil”.
