Russia & China Bond Together against Western Subversion

In the forty-first edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the articles from four Russian newspapers: Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Izvestia, Rossiyskaya Gazeta, and Pravda. He discusses the exponentially growing military, economic, and energy ties between Russia and China, focusing on the recent visit to China by one of the top Russian officials and Putin's long-time friend and associate, Nikolai Patrushev. In addition, he examines how geopolitics and sports are linked together in the Russian political and media sphere and how Gennady Zyuganov, the leader of the largest opposition party in Russia, the Communist party, thinks Russia should respond to the new U.S. economic sanctions.

  1. I assume Putin assumes the US wouldn’t really cut off its own head to spite its face. On a good day he must feel like he’s living in a Three Stooges movie. On a bad day….

  2. robert despins says:

It does see clear that the ‘best for all concerned’ would be for the west to come to their senses and relent a bit on their hawkish attitude towards Russia, among other places, but really when has this been the case? It looks to me like the west are busy manufacturing consent with the public through the media to paint Russia into a corner. It will be interesting to see how the latest in the DNC scandal and Wasserman Shultz will play out with the public assuming that this will get any traction with the media at all. i think that the last embers of a fire can sometimes be the most dangerous, and perhaps the US military complex’s only way out is to divert the American mind, yet again through war. I hope not.

  3. Paul Mozina says:

    Dear Professor
How could you include only half of George Orwell’s most famous quote?

  4. rene verstraeten says:

The USA is in fact a socialist country a capitalist front, with a Marxist inspired CIA and Marxist first grade universities and institutions . The struggle in their eyes is one who dominates the socialist movement. Money printing leads to more and more power in the hands of a few. It destroyed the middleclass and the savings of the blue collar working class

That there are millionaires in the USA is not relevan for not beeing capitalist . There are just no free markets anymore in the USA, all is regulated by the state and the state has a too big part of GDP already. rich financiers /capitalist/bankers use the state to get economic protection for their businesses. In fact, it could be seen as corporatism. Big banks and socialist go hand in hand. Both banks and socialist hate economy “competition” in the society. That why they strive for state monopolies and coordination of consumption by the state. Both Obama and Clinton were inspired by communism. The father of Obama is Frank Marshall Davis, the black communist leader. The CIA from nowadays can be seen as as mean as the cheka and the NKVD in the days of revolutionary communism. In fact the USA has a secret politbureau. The politics and the politicians are chosen by the deep state , not by the people. “Democratic processes” are just for the show. Trump is an outsider because he was not the first choise of the deep state, but he could rep[resent a wing in the CIA.. Some connections show that money and influence has come from deep state figures, like the first real estate company he bought.

Do not forget that the Russian Revolution of 1917 was financed by Schiff and Warburg. Some historians say that the only reason there were USA troops after the revolution was not to help the whites/Monarchists but LET THEM LOOSE faster by giving them just the illusion of help.

In the second WW the USA helped the communist indeed, with food and war materials. The main object of the elite in the USA was to finish off a German state and culture and to rob that country of all wealth.

The USA deep state has now the plan to control all of its vassels via socialist type governments. All oppositionfigures in vasal states are killed with very illegal and secret service methods. Example: murder on Pim Fortuyn in the Netherlands. The sus[ected murder of 2 internal affairs ministers in the Netherlands ( Koos Rietkerk and Ien Dales). The USA sees the top down politics of socialism handier for empire control ,than free market capitalism

  6. John Nelson says:

Dr. Kovacevic, every so often I see a news article like this. I was wondering if it is true, or if this source should just be ignored? http://yournewswire.com/putin-north-korean-crisis-ww3/

  7. Edward Weglowski says:

Its only matter of time the oligarchy of the west be seeking unification with their counterparts in Russia and China. The populations of these powers, as well as many other will establish independent intranet networks with private political accounts as their political platform. This will leave the oligarchy of the world no choice but unite.

  8. Max Havelaar says:

What really caused the downfall of the USSR, that nobody in Western corporate mainstream media saw coming? The Afghan war by Zbigniev? Can this be verified with economic data? I find it hard to believe one single war can bring down the USSR. OR was Gorbatjov a CIA agent?

In my opinion, regulated market economies produce highest income for most people involved in paid jobs. Neither China nor Russia can go back to USSR times of totalitarianism central planning, not even Zhuganov. Handing enterpreneurial initiative and reward to the people will produce the most amazing outcomes and so income. Carefull privatisation to many parties, not a few BIG ones (olichargs), and creating many independent companies capable of competing on price, will be the most challenging task to achieve. The energy sector will probalby remain state-owned due to its large scale upfront investments needed.

Introducing markets with price competition, will be China’s and Russia’s greatest challenge. If they succeed, they will beat the West economically.
