Russia’s Drive to Control the Arctic

In the forty-second edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the articles from four Russian newspapers: Izvestia, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Kommersant and Rossiyskaya Gazeta. He discusses the Russian plans to expand the Artic fleet with new generation nuclear-powered icebreakers, Russia’s strong opposition to the U.S. plan for financing private armies and mercenaries to fight in Afghanistan, the deepening tensions in the U.S-Russian diplomatic relations, and, on a lighter note, the exponential increase in the Russian cheese-production as the result of the import embargo on the EU agricultural products.

It seems to me that the investment in new icebreakers is a sign that the Russian gov. recognizes that the global warming fraud is not happening. And that they will need these massive ships to keep their existing ports open in the grand solar minimum rapidly approaching. The Russian scientists are way ahead of the west in this respect. See Valentina Zarkova etal work on the solar magnetic fields interaction relative to the cooling periods on earth we call “little ice ages”. John L. Casey also has a long history of correct predictions using solar data. It seems very coincidental.

Professor Kovacevic, I want to express my appreciation for the news from Russian Media & your input about them. I look forward to your videos and wish more people could watch them. It’s informative to see what the Russian “Evil Empire” (satire) is up to. Many thanks for you efforts to show us other’s views.
I only wish more people could see them.

I concur with your statement. I’ve often wondered how the heck people think they know so much about Russia, (and many other places), if their entire worldview, and the sole source if information, is Washington, (via the mainstream media), propaganda.
I will join you in the expressions of appreciation to Prof. Kovacevic for his continual efforts to bring to us, the Newsbud community, the latest in news from Russia and the many other Eastern Nations, as well as his opinions and analysis of the situations that concern us all.

  3. Max Havelaar says:

The North (pole) route will indeed be the best alternative route for the Russians to avoid harassment by Blackwater types, to secure trade with China. This route will be in place almost immediately and avoids waiting for the Chinese OBOR routes.

Due to the very stupid US and EU sanctions policy, the Dutch cheese & vegetables exports to Russia have halted, and the farmers income decreased.
The NL MSM falsely reported the Russian aggression in Ukraïne and Crimea as the culprits, and not Wallstreet’s greed. The MSM is also owned by a few rich Billionaires, who set the corporate-fascist agenda in the MSM reporting also.
