Russia: U.S. Economic Sanctions as Declaration of War?

In the forty-third edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the articles from four Russian newspapers: Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Izvestia, Sovietskaya Rossiya, and Komsomolskaya Pravda. He discusses the biggest joint Russian-Belarussian military exercise in the last few years and how NATO is reacting to it as well as the most recent political developments in another potential geopolitical war zone in Eastern Europe, the state of Moldova. In addition, he provides the highlights of an exclusive interview with Leonid Ivashov, one of the foremost geopolitical experts in Russia, and examines the fate of Alexei Ulyukaev, the arrested former minister of economic development who might have played a role in the Western intelligence plot against the Russian president Vladimir Putin.

  1. Clifton N Wayne says:

Thank you for the news coverage in Russia Professor Kovacevic. It’s nice to keep up with what the Media in Russia is saying. All should listen & read to all information sources to try & get a balanced perspective on world events.

  2. Max Havelaar says:

Nato is the attack dog for Wallstreet profits, in the Billionaires toolkit to controll the world. It’s an outdated tool for garanteed misery for the many.

Disband it, and let Western countries stand on their own feet, growup, and start acting sensibly towards the East: take part in the new silk road projects, proposed by China (OBOR= One Belt One Road, a strategic infrastructure investment in Eurasia, William Engdahl).

Universal laws and fair trade among all = Peace and Prosperity for all.

The poor Moldovans are the next probable victim of NATO ‘s expansion. Hopefully, the Russians can counterbalance this threat.

  3. Max Havelaar says:

Indeed, the best options for Russian economy is BRICS + Iran+ Syria, India being doubtfull. And Western import-substitution by homemade or BRICS.

The dumb US enforced (99% of Congress) sanctions on Russia, Iran and Norht-Korea proof US congress votes with their Wallstreet wallets, and these alpha-males and females are beyond Good and Evil.

  4. Great documentary and commentary as always, thank you Professor Kovacevic.
NATO is nothing but a tool for Western Imperialism & Conquest, always was.
As are the IMF, World Bank, etc. and the “free” trade agreements.
