Newsbud Exclusive- Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State Means War with Iran.

On Tuesday, March 13, it hardly came as a surprise Rex Tillerson was axed and CIA director Mike Pompeo was slipped into the secretary of state slot.

This transition was in the works for some time. President Trump simply waited for an opportune time to make a change that was predicted weeks ago.

The switch is an obvious godsend for Israel. The Zionist state has pushed for the United States to use its considerable military strength to not only take out Iran’s supposed nuclear program, but also reduce the country to rubble the way it did in 2002 in Iraq.

Iran doesn’t have a nuclear program. Both Israel and the United States know this. The long-standing accusation is merely a smoke screen for an effort to devastate that country—and Lebanon and Syria as well.

The evidence is everywhere Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapons program—from a 2007 assessment by US intelligence agencies to a National Intelligence Estimate in 2012 which concluded there “is no hard evidence that Iran has decided to build a nuclear bomb.” In fact, even Israeli intelligence admitted no such program exists and hasn’t since at least 2003.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is centered on Iran’s civilian nuclear program, not an effort to build nuclear weapons. It “called for the elimination of economic sanctions [imposed on] Iran in exchange for Tehran giving up its nuclear weapons program” which, as previously noted, doesn’t exist.

The myth of Iran’s nuclear weapons program is kept alive by a compliant establishment media reading from government scripts.

“Every time the media mindlessly report Iran has a ‘nuclear weapons program’ rather than a ‘nuclear program’ (or, better, a ‘nuclear energy’ or ‘nuclear power program’), they further advance the myth that Iran’s intentions or ‘ambitions’ are to build a nuclear bomb, which is something we have no evidence it is doing or plans to do—at least since the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei issued a fatwa against building nuclear weapons in 2003,” writes Adam Johnson.

Despite all of this, Pompeo insists Iran is building nukes and the JCPOA hasn’t delayed or curtailed this illusory effort. When confronted with reality at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies—a neocon think tank that shares an “ideological affinity with the Israeli government”—Pompeo shifted the argument. He said the JCPOA will not “curtail Iranian adventurism” or reduce “the terror threat” supposedly posed by Iran. He also focused on the Islamic Republic's continued testing of ballistic missiles and its alignment with Hezbollah, the Lebanese “terror group” formed after Israel invaded Lebanon [READ MORE]
