America’s Collision Course with Tyranny

The Titanic received at least four warnings from other ships about the presence of icebergs in its path, with the last warning issued an hour before disaster struck. All four warnings were ignored. Like the Titanic, we’re plowing full steam ahead into a future riddled with hidden and not-so-hidden dangers. We too have been given ample warnings, only to have them drowned out by a carefully choreographed cacophony of political noise, cultural distractions and entertainment news—what the Romans termed “bread and circuses”—aimed at keeping the American people polarized, pacified and easily manipulated. However, the peril to our republic remains the same. As long as a permanent, unelected bureaucracy—a.k.a. the shadow government— continues to call the shots in the halls of power and the reach of the police state continues to expand, there is still danger ahead.

  1. John Phillips says:

This I do know. “The Powers that Be.” “They,” the “Government” or their “handlers” want “us” the citizens of the US divided, feeling alone and powerless. The goals of our Police State are to instill a sense of “powerless,” and subject us to violence and threat of loss of all we hold dear. And that is exactly how I “feel” when listening to what Mr. Whitehead speaks of.

However, I am not powerless or isolated, but the threat of violence is always there. You are neither powerless or alone.

Social Media, Entertainment, movies, the Internet and like serve to isolate and disrupt social norms and “hurt” not help communication. Conversations on the porch are a thing of the past. Knowing your neighbor? Do you? Story telling and knowing community and family histories… Traditions are vanishing.

I can’t think of a single institution that actually supports the “family” and community rather than attempting to tear them apart. Don’t say Churches, for the majority tend to divide rather than support. Divisiveness abounds in all avenues of communication today. We are being divided along race, sex, religion, culture, education, financial status…every single crack that can be wedged in society is being ripped apart. That is if we “believe and follow” what we are being “told.”

But “we” are not alone. We all share being human. We “feel” both pain and anguish along with joy and satisfaction. We all get hungry and cold. We all want our children and their children’s children “safe.” We need social activity. We need to see people who are different (for we are all unique in our own way), that we are actually the “same.” Human. How nice…human. We really are an amazing species. We need to know this.

However, the “powers that be” won’t have any of that if “they” can keep us from doing so. They want us frightened, powerless and alone….divided!

Please understand that “they” don’t see us as “human” and think we are all “oxygen wasting Muppets”, something less than dogs, certainly not Human. In their philosophy we must be either farmed for their “personal resources” and I do mean personal and all that is you, or……..

    So we must resist!

  2. Robert Diggins says:

John Phillips, I agree with you. I’ll add that this motivation to isolate us reaches down into public elementary schools, where social education has been displaced by performance anxiety. The teachers and administrators know that the shift to less social education and more testing “is harming the children, many of them very young.” (Quote I recorded from my daughter’s teacher and principal, separately, admitting the exact same cause and effect of ever increasing performance pressures.)

I am so disappointed in the school admins, medical doctors and admins, and a more and more authoritarian culture in the workplace. There are fewer and fewer professionals who will stand up, make waves, and refuse unethical orders and/or business practices. The buck is constantly being passed to those who are the most vulnerable and who cannot pass it any further.

The individuals facing the consequences of this culture of fear and obedience certainly need to hear the message you wrote and the important phrase y ou included: “We are not alone.”

    Thank you!

And thanks, John W. Whitehead, for summing it up so well, in this report. The hypocrisy of our government, who are mostly compromised, the professional and management class, who are filled with authoritarian followers and sociopathic climbers, and the common people, who are afraid to speak, while being lulled to sleep, is challenging and thick. Ignorance and fear abound.

But, there is a spark and a flame within us, that refuses to die or comply with the attempt to destroy all that is good, creative, and aware of the fertility of our amazing place in the universe.

  3. Mark Ribbit says:

    I agree John.
Can you list 10 practical steps the average U.S. citizen can take to put a stop to this, right now?

    • Robert Diggins says:

      Hi Mark,

I know you asked John, but that must be on your mind too, so, if you have any to add, we could cooperate.

One suggestion I have, at the local level, pertaining to public schools, especially elementary school. That is, when you find inappropriate and pervasive social behavior, write to the principal and copy the school board, superintendent , as well as the city and state.

I guess that applies to anytime you write to complain, make suggestions, and/or document what you have found and why it is inappropriate. It’s usually better to copy as many levels of the hierarchy as reasonable. This helps avoid a response that isolates your original communication and helps bring to light the systemic nature of said problem.

I did this several times and did see some changes on the ground, school-wide, if not wider. Once, I did it in conjunction with removing my daughter from school for the rest of that year, and unschooling her.

Those of you who don’t have chi ldren in school might be surprised at how it’s changed for the wors6

      • Robert Diggins says:

        Sorry, premature post.

…for the worse. For example, I found out that every boy a nd girl in my daughter’s 1st grade class had paired up into romantic “couples” and were doing things like holding hands. I let out a pretty big roar about the systemic pre-pubescent sexualization of children going on, apparently without any reaction from the staff.

It took just a few days for all the elementary schools in the district to address all staff and students, to explain appropriate and inappropriate relationships at their age.

My daughter had been held down by one boy, while a another was trying to kiss her in the previous week. All of that came to a stop, once the teachers were asked to address it. I’m sure it continues in small pockets or incidentally, but the culural/systemic change has lasted, at least for several years.

The same happened when I recorded the teacher and principal talking about harming very young children with academic and testing anxiety. After some broad communications, probably from more than just me, the entire district switched to a go-at-your-own-pace model for math. This was only partially successful, since the teachers were still testing students at the same time, for a particular unit of math. So, it is more of a flex time approach to ultimately get students to the same place by the same deadline.

Another suggestion, get a buddy or family member to subscribe to Newsbud! 🙂

    • John Phillips says:

      Hi Mark
      Thank you for asking.

If I may…how you spend your money and where you earn it are THE most important vehicles for change (economically and politically) you can pursue.

-Be a citizen FIRST, not a consumer!
-Buy what you need, not what you want. Live within your means or if you have a lot…live well within your means.
-Play their game when you must (by law and by law enforcement) and at all other times; subvert, covert, divert
-Play by your own rules, not theirs!
-Be brave…be vocal! Be loud when necessary! Resist!
-Transfer whatever wealth you have to your children via Trusts as the wealthy do.
-Educate your children…and everyone else’s. Best investment we can make.
-Generate investment income over salary income to take advantage of tax benefits. Look for opportunities that lift and develop society
      -Think for yourself, don’t believe!
-Shop local by rejecting “big box corporate”
-Support famers markets, local merchants, cooperatives and purchase initiatives.
-DO NOT buy “fast food.” Eat at locally owned restaurants and eateries.
-Reject self-service checkout lanes and when offered by a well-meaning clerk; proclaim with a smile; “I will not put someone out of a job without a DISCOUNT!”
-Use cash as a rule with all transactions where feasible.
-Where and when feasible avoid all forms of electronic payment.
-Don’t buy Amazon and the like!
-Stay out of debt and when possible never pay interest!
      -Avoid paying taxes where lawful.
-Buy used clothes, cars, etc. to avoid “new-production” and use of raw materials..
-STOP being a consumer and become a citizen.
-Reduce your consumption and demand for energy where and when possible.
-Become active in local politics if you can stomach it or if you are good at it! . We need free-thinking advocates in politics!
-Vote! If those that did not vote in this last election voted for a third party candidate we would be living in a different political reality today!
-Demand more from your employers in salary and benefits or be brave and find a new career or better yet start your own business. …this is why education and skills development is critical for the individual.
-Recognize there are over 300 million citizens in this country and they are “us;”
-REJECT efforts at division via Religion, entertainment and the media!
-Know the definition and traits of a sociopath and watch for them!
-REJECT their game plan…develop your own! Take action where and when you can.
-Live a life of self-education and skills development. Never stop learning!
-Revolution starts with a few and a few is all it takes.

If just five percent of the population adopted these strategies, the powers that be would take notice. If the more citizens adopted them, it would be defined as a revolution! Hit them where it hurts them…in their pocket book! Money speaks like no-other in this world of ours.

It simply is not enough to blame big business and big government for which we have full control over…meaning our lives and how we live them!

  4. John Phillips says:

Wow! I kind of figured my solutions would not go over well. Without a response to go on, I think that Americans are lazy and spoiled. If it comes down to giving up something to make the world better….forget it!

Kathrin Austin Fits stated once that at a conference presentation; she asked the audience if they could push a red button and erase all the mal investment and theft in the investment world along with getting rid of drug money, but would take a hit financially, would they….no one in the room raised their hand.

I’m sorry. Did I ask you to put in some effort or give up something….so sorry, my bad!

No, “we” are the problem and “we” all of us are to blame for what is happening in the world. We love to hate don’t we….

    Disappointed but not surprised!
    John Phillips

  5. Jeff Martin says:

First the good news. Do a web search (not Google) of “police department returns military equipment” and you will find many police departments that received military surplus equipment, want to give it back. They are having a hard time doing so as it seems the military doesn’t want it back. Many PDs cite the cost of maintenance as the reason for wanting to get rid of the equipment. I have no idea why PDs need machine guns and grenade launchers. (To serve and protect us from what?)

Obama approved of the 1033 program which gave the surplus military equipment to the PDs and it appears Trump approves of it, too.

Gone are the days when the friendly neighborhood cop knew everyone on his beat and knew how to keep bad actors in line without shooting them to death. Nowadays a lot of cops are recruited from prior military. They have served many tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and have been desensitized by death and have a strong suspicion that all civilians are the enemy.

I am retired and rarely go into town anymore except for groceries. I shop mostly on line for my other needs (Because my town rarely has what I need). When I talk to people about current events, they have no idea what I’m talking about. Generally, they have no interest. I believe the main culprits are public government education and television. They are creating a nation of obedient zombies. I no longer have much hope for the country. I still have some hope on the local level. I believe we need to start there and take back our communities, one at a time.

Our government just went to the UN in an emergency session and now wants to overthrow Assad in Syria by force. Russia will not stand for this. I guess the Neo-Cons want WWIII nuclear war.

I am as ready as I can be. Make ready for what’s to come…

    • David E Burden says:

Excellent comment Jeff, I agree. as an ex-cop, I can attest to the validity of your statements, having seen it first hand. I had all of the corruption I could stand in late 1997, and try as I did, I finally realized that I, (as one man), was never going to be allowed to fix any of the problems, and so got out. The problem existed then, and it has gotten many times worse since.
We are in big trouble here in the USA, and TV and the CRIMINALS who are inhabiting our governmental offices, (pretending to represent us), are huge problems, that cannot be ignored. I also agree that we must start at the local level, one way is by insisting that our local elections are honest, and have a paper trail for all ballots and votes. Otherwise there is no way to determine if the programmable vote counting machines are giving us an honest count. It doesn’t matter who votes, it’s the ones counting the votes that matter. There is a suit that anyone can file before any election that says that you have reason to believe that the vote count may be tampered with, which will force a paper backup to prove it wasn’t.
The federal elections are a sham. This has been proven time and again. It amazes me that the majority of our fellow citizens don’t seem to know this, or even care. Why should they, it has nothing to do with what is on TV tonight, or which team of millionaires is playing what other team of millionaires in a pre-determined “Bread & Circuses” event.
There has not been a fair, honest, or LEGAL federal election in the USA for many decades. Think I’m wrong about that? Read the 12th Amendment carefully and see if you still believe that. Your vote does not count! 538 people decide who the next president will be, and the election doesn’t even take place in November.
Then look up the evidence in both the Florida case in 2001, and the Ohio case in 2005, (both involving Electronic Vote Counting Machines and Election Fraud), and see if you still trust computers programmers to count the ballots. Take an honest look at the statistics showing how many dead people are still on the books as voters, and still seem to vote every election. Some even in multiple locations. This is not some “conspiracy theory”, it is a documented fact, and easily looked up. In California, like most states, you are automatically registered to vote when you get a driver’s license. Take a look at how many non-citizen driver’s licenses are currently issued in California. I could go on and on, but by now you should see my point. The problem is that the system works just fine for the current people who are in power and control, so they have no want or need to abide by the laws that are already on the books to fix the problems, and the sheeple are too consumed by being entertained to take notice and demand it be fixed. That is indeed a sad commentary about “We the People”. At least I think so.
We are being lied to and used, read The Federalist Papers and The Anti Federalist Papers, read George Washington’s Farewell address, and see if you think two Private Corporate Clubs should be allowed to dictate who gets to run for high office in this country. The Founders considered political parties, (what they called “Factions”), to be more dangerous to our republic as a standing Army. The only real choice we are given is between “Road Apples” or a “Cow Pie”. The lessor of two evils is still evil, why would any honest person choose to vote for an evil to begin with? We SHOULD BE demanding our rightful election system be returned to us.

“Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally the common people don’t want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” ~ Hermann Goering

War is the most profitable business ever devised, and the International Bankers who own the criminals inhabiting our governmental offices as well as he factories that manufacture the munitions, planes, tanks and drones, will make sure, (with the assistance of the Intelligence Agencies), that there is constant war in as many locations as possible. Leaning heavily toward areas that are rich in natural resources that they would rather steal than trade for. Honest commerce cuts into profits too much. It is much easier to propagandize and lie to the population through the corporate owned media and convince them that the people who live where the resources are located, are somehow a threat to us, thereby appearing to justify making them the enemy, and just considering the theft as “Spoils of War”. Claiming someone is a brutal dictator who is murdering his own people, without any proof, seems to be a popular twist these days. It helps if you know someone is on their way to look at the evidence also. Then you can bomb the hell out of the place and destroy the evidence proving you were lying.
We should also bear in mind that most, if not all of the countries involved, have Central Banks, and are mere puppets to the whims of the International Banksters, such as the BIS. Someone smarter than me once said something to the effect that “Nothing, no matter how horrible, happens without the government’s knowledge, and usually with the consent of said authorities”. A study of False Flag events quickly shows that this is not only true, but most often it is the powers that be that plan and orchestrate the horrible events in furtherance of some political agenda, and/or for profit.
Will they escalate to Nuclear War? I certainly hope not, as I imagine most of us do. I would offer the following for consideration though:
After spending many years, and untold trillions of dollars building the sophisticated “Police-Surveillance” State that currently exists in numerous countries, why would they want to blow it all up? Why destroy the very fruits of their efforts to enslave, control, and profit from the general population? They consider common people as a source of revenue, without us, their profits die off. Do any of us think they are ready to end their fleecing of their flocks? Again, let us hope not by destroying the entire planet. All it takes is for one Ass-Hat to make a mistake, and the retaliations are already programmed in.
I’m not always right, but I hope I am about this. I pray that cooler heads will prevail someday soon, and stop all the illegal wars of aggression-for-profit, and I will also continue to do what I can to help wake up the sheeple and get them to turn off the damned TVs and look at the reality around them.
I’m grateful to Newsbud and everyone who is making the effort to overcome the long standing efforts of the Corporate Lame Stream Media and their penchant for doing the bidding of the International Criminals in the Intelligence Agencies who depend on our misery to provide them with job security.
Information and education are vital to peace and prosperity. Secrecy and propaganda are the enemy of liberty.
