Alternative Geopolitics: BRICS is Back!

In the eighty-third edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses the articles from four Russian newspapers: Kommersant, Izvestia, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, and Moskovsky Komsomolets. He analyzes the implications of the recent meeting between the Russian president Vladimir Putin and the Indian prime minister Narendra Modi for the return of the geopolitical significance of the BRICS, which stands for Brazil, Russian, India, China and South Africa. In addition, Professor Kovacevic talks about how the Russian-devised electronic payment system SPFS could replace the Western-controlled SWIFT electronic payment system for the BRICS countries. He also looks at the recent escalation of fighting in the Donbass and consider the danger of false flag chemical attacks in the region. Lastly, Professor Kovacevic discusses the first meeting of the new Russian government cabinet. Do not miss this exclusive edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor!
