NEWSBUD- Where Media Integrity Matters: Join Our Campaign for a 100% People Funded Media

Dear Friends & Supporters,

We’re back! Your incredible support and generous pledges during our last Kickstarter campaign have encouraged us to try another time.

Today is the day. It’s the first day of our new campaign, and we need you to help again. We have 45 days to raise $150,000, and we know we can do it with your help! Make a pledge, subscribe to Newsbud, put the word out by forwarding this link to others. And please take action as soon as possible—the first three to four days of the campaign will be the most critical to our success.

Now is the time to stand up for your right to be informed and help create a news and multimedia network unlike anything else online, in print, or on TV. Newsbud will produce original stories, investigative reports, video-podcasts, editorials, and discussion forums, and it will be a real independent alternative because it will be 100% people funded.

As part of our new strategy, we are running four Kickstarter campaigns over an 18-month period and a simultaneous subscription drive. With each successful Kickstarter campaign and subscription effort, we’ll launch additional programs and content and bring in more staff. At the end of Phase 4, Newsbud will be the fully operational, truly independent, 100% people-funded news sources we’ve all been waiting for. The great thing about this new approach: we’ll begin delivering articles and programs in early June so everyone can see the value of what we’re doing and the quality of our work before the campaign is even over!

Without you, we cannot achieve our dream of a media outlet that is nonpartisan and accountable only to its viewers and to the truth. Make a donation, subscribe, and activate others by sharing this email. They have rendered we the people irrelevant; together, we will make them irrelevant!

Sincerely,

Sibel Edmonds

A Message from Sibel Edmonds- Founder, Newsbud:

Welcome to our main page and threads for everything Newsbud! Starting today we’ll be collectively (yes, that means YOU!) campaigning to make Newsbud, a 100% people funded, independent, nonpartisan, online news source, a reality. I want you to pay special attention to 100% People Funded and what it means, thus, the importance of your role and participation in making this one-of-a-kind media platform come true. Solely people-funded media means no corporate advertisement gunk. It means no marketing gimmicks imbedded in the information presented. It means no strings attached to billionaire sugar daddies- be it Soros, Koch, Rockefellers or Carnegies. It means a media outlet only accountable to you-to we the people.  This means integrity. It means ethical and agenda-free journalism. It means making we the people relevant, and taking the 0.0001% out of the equation, thus making them irrelevant. And most importantly, it means that it is up to you and me, up to us the people, to do what it takes to create NEWSBUD-Where Media Integrity Matters.

Thomas Jefferson put it simply and eloquently: An informed citizenry is at the heart of a dynamic democracy.

For a decade and a half I’ve been fighting for the public’s right to know. An informed citizenry has been my life’s mission- From whistleblowing and years of leading congressional investigations, to forming the first and only National Security Whistleblowers Coalition, to establishing Boiling Frogs Post- a 100% viewers’ supported independent online information forum. Now, with your support, and in partnership with a network of nationally and internationally recognized journalists, producers, and analysts, we will be creating NEWSBUD, an independent news and multimedia network poised to redefine content-driven, online publishing through a 100% publicly funded platform: An empowering, publicly funded media network that is accountable only to its viewers and to the truth.

Please allow me to present a few important points and dates before ending this message:

  1. Please mark the following date on your schedule board, desktop calendar, smart phone, laptop and everywhere else: Sunday, February 14, 2016 (Valentine’s Day!). This is the day we will launch our Kickstarter Crowdfunding Campaign based on an ‘All or Nothing’ platform. Meaning, we’ll make Newsbud a reality if we raise our required minimum funding during the campaign, or everyone will get their pledge (donated money) back. Now please go to your gadgets and set the reminder function for this important date (If you’re using a music tune- make it an excited and happy one, and make it loud!).
  2. We have created a group e-mail list for all who support our mission for a 100% independent media with integrity. Our goal is to recruit at least 20,000 of you who are interested in this project and want to support it, whether via a monetary contribution or by helping us reach and activate others to join this campaign. You may have already signed up with us, but there is more we need you to do: please inform and encourage others you know, and invite them to join this solely people-powered media project by signing up. The direct link is here, and the sign up button is below.
  3. During the next 28 days we’ll be presenting you with a series of podcast and video shows, and commentaries on Newsbud and related details. Please do your share by sharing these presentations with others. Help us raise awareness by disseminating these programs through your social media network, e-mail groups and other blogs and forums.
  4. I am planning to record and publish my solo podcast series on Newsbud. What I want to do: take and answer your specific questions for each episode, rather than providing you with canned and scripted information. Yes, I want it to be participatory. So, please participate by submitting your questions and comments here

Without you, we cannot build the independent news source that we the people deserve. We can only do that when we are 100% publicly supported, and that means we need you, your voice, and your commitment to our cause. Don’t let the 1% render you powerless- Empower yourself with NEWSBUD-People Powered Media where integrity matters.

Thank You All,

Sibel Edmonds

BFP Roundtable Video- Ron Paul & His Movement: Was He The Answer?

Sibel Edmonds, Guillermo Jimenez & Pearse Redmond on Ron Paul Movement, Rand Paul & Much More!

With the presidential election seemingly looming over everything in this episode we look back at Ron Paul and his movement, and ask the question: Was he the answer? The three of us break down how all of us got involved in the Ron Paul Revolution and libertarian politics. We discuss how the movement represented a different choice to politics than the rest of the mainstream. Pearse Redmond shakes things up by asking whether Ron Paul was really about change, or whether he was about shifting the alternative community back into the Republican Party. We also touch on the nefarious individuals involved in the campaign that may have played a part in derailing the message of Paul. Later we move on to Rand Paul and break down how he represents a near complete reversal of his father. As we round out the conversation we explore the libertarian movement as a whole and discuss the near absence of women with in it. We also touch on why there are so few women in the alt-media, and the abhorrent way that they are treated by a majority community.

BFP Roundtable Video- DOD Goes to Hollywood!

Pearse Redmond, Tom Secker & Prof. Matthew Alford on the Largest ever FOIA release from Pentagon's Entertainment Liaison Office"

In this episode Tom Secker and I are joined by Professor Matthew Alford for a discussion of the Department of Defense's' ever increasing relation with Hollywood cinema. We discuss the history and nature of the DOD's Hollywood Entertainment Liaison office, how this office has existed since the early 1900's and has had a tremendous influence on the creation of our cinema and culture, the current head of the DOD Entertainment Liaison Office, Phil Strubb, and how he has gone about expanding the scope and influence of the military's involvement in Hollywood films.

We later move on to a real bombshell - - a massive document dump that Tom and Matt received from the DOD Entertainment Liaison Office through an FOIA request. Representing the largest ever FOIA release of documents from the Pentagon's Hollywood office, these documents offer a rare glimpse into a persistent propaganda effort by the military. The three of us would also like to encourage everyone in the BFP community to look through these documents and let us know what you find. Tom, Matt and I each discovered different nuggets of information, so we would love to see what you find yourselves. Be sure to let us know in the comments section!

BFP Roundtable Video- Death & Rebirth: The End of Al Qaeda and Rise of ISIS”

Pearse Redmond, James Corbett & Christoph Germann on the evolution of ISIS and the possible end of Al Qaeda

On this episode we are joined by BFP contributors James Corbett and Christoph Germann for a discussion of the US Deep State's role in creating ISIS, its evolution, and the possible end of Al Qaeda. The three of us explore the idea of "moderate" Al Qaeda members speaking out against ISIS, and their attempts to save the dying Al Qaeda brand. We also discuss how ISIS has changed the rules of terrorism by ushering in a new level of violence that is devoid of any real political ideology, touching on the notion that they are merely a place holder for some other new form of jihadi movement yet to emerge, and then finish off the conversation by looking at recent geopolitical developments in Central Asia and how these nations are dealing with the threat that ISIS presents.

*We would like to thank James Corbett and Tom Secker for all of their help with the editing of this podcast.

BFP Roundtable Video- Exposed: The Timing & Orchestration of Seymour Hersh’s “Bin Laden Kill”

Sibel Edmonds & Pearse Redmond on Hersh’s Bin Laden Kill Exposé, FBI’s Bin Laden Tapes & Much More!

In this BFP Roundtable episode Sibel Edmonds and Pearse Redmond discuss the recent "bombshell" article by Seymour Hersh regarding the so-called Bin laden Raid, offer their analysis of the article itself, and explain why this is yet another attempt to obscure the elephant in the room. The discussion includes two never-before-released revelations regarding the Hersh story and the FBI's Bin Laden tapes: Extrapolating from her sources, Sibel explains why Hersh wrote this article, the timing of it, and the players and agenda behind it. Later she delivers another bombshell that deals with the FBI's infamous Bin Laden tapes: From her time as an FBI translator Sibel was privy to some very interesting information regarding these tapes, how they were used by the Deep State, and how this relates back to the Hersh article.

BFP Roundtable Video- Who is Putin & Why has he let his nation become encircled by NATO

Sibel Edmonds, Pearse Redmond & Tom Secker on the recent “revelation” from Putin regarding Operation Gladio B

In this second episode of the new BFP Roundtable series Pearse Redmond, Sibel Edmonds and Tom Secker discuss the recent “revelation” from Putin regarding Gladio B operations in Chechnya. They start with the basic facts that Putin has laid out: intercepts obtained by the FSB show that US officials in Azerbaijan were supporting and backing Chechen rebels during the early 2000’s. The panel each breaks down the interesting timing of these revelations, which come as a series of shake-ups in and around Russia have threatened Putin’s grasp on power. Is this a threat from Putin to the West or a bone to throw to the hardcore nationalists within the Russian Federation? Later they move on to the question of who Putin is as a leader and how he has managed to let his nation become completely encircled by NATO. The group then moves on to how the geopolitical chessboard has been reoriented away from ideological battles into one based on identity and media control. They finish off by looking at how Russia Today fits into this new geopolitical landscape.

BFP Roundtable Video- Graham’s So-Called Smoking Gun, Saudi Arabia & Yemen

In this introductory episode Sibel Edmonds, Guillermo Jimenez and Pearse Redmond introduce the new BFP Roundtable Season and discuss new ideas and possibilities for coming shows. From there the panel quickly moves on to its first topic: Senator Graham’s so-called smoking gun (The infamous redacted 28-pages), the possible reasons for and timing of this old pickled issue’s circulation, in conjunction with the Saudi Arabia-Yemen angle and connections. The panel heatedly debunks more than one widespread spin used by mainstream and pseudo-alternative media outlets in reporting Saudi Arabia’s assault on Yemen with the carefully-designed Iran element. And finally, the panel invites BFP activist community members to join and expand this discussion and provide their ideas for coming roundtable discussion topics.

*This is our introductory episode for the new BFP Roundtable season. The coming episodes will be here at Boiling Frogs Post, and will be available only to BFP activist members. You can subscribe and join our community here.

BFP Update: Our New Partners, Video-Podcast Shows & Exclusive Report-Analysis Series

BFP Welcomes SpyCulture’s Tom Secker, PorkinsPolicy’s Pearse Redmond & Journalist-Analyst Erik Moshe

We are entering an exciting new phase here at Boiling Frogs Post. I launched this website with a firm commitment to becoming a network of truly independent authors, analysts and producers to serve the community of critical-thinking irate minorities-those who we know we can depend on for moving towards needed changes; those who truly count: ‘You.’

We have been doing exactly that since our inception, and doing so slowly but with sure steps. Our website has evolved from a one-woman small forum to a multi-faceted network of stellar and independent authors, analysts and producers showcasing one-of-a-kind reports, podcast and video programs, editorial cartoons and analyses.

I am truly honored to announce and introduce our new partners and soon-to-begin reports and multimedia programs - which will be available exclusively to BFP member activists:

SpyCulture’s Tom Secker

I am sure many of you are familiar with author, analyst and filmmaker Tom Secker and his incredible research on macro topics ranging from Gladio to significant global false flag operations. Starting the first week in May, Tom will present his exclusive podcast series on highly significant topics and controversial issues ranging from conspiracy theories to the Deep State - all paired up with much needed history, examples and contexts. The title of Tom’s podcast series: Disinfowars. Here is a brief bio for Tom, which does not begin to encompass all his accomplishments.

Tom Secker- BFP Partner Producer & Host, Disinfowars
Tom Secker is a researcher, filmmaker and the author of Secrets, Spies and 7/7.  His work focuses on the intelligence services, particularly their roles in international terrorism and popular culture.  He is based in North Yorkshire, England.  Visit Tom’s website here.

Please welcome Tom, and stay tuned for his first podcast episode coming up the first week in May!

PorkinsPolicy’s Pearse Redmond

Pearse Redmond is another name and producer many of you are familiar with. Pearse has been producing some incredible podcast shows through his site, and we have published his latest discussion series with Tom Secker and me on Operation Gladio B and related topics here at Boiling Frogs Post. He is a rare talent who combines informed critical thinking with articulate and natural delivery (and a beautiful voice as well!).

Pearse will be joining Guillermo Jimenez and me as a partner producer and host for our coming BFP Roundtable Video Series. Just like Guillermo and me, Pearse is also pro spontaneous and interactive delivery. Meaning: just as with our new podcast series Probable Cause, we are going to invite and participate in your feedback, comments and questions posted under each video episode, and structure our following episode based on those comments and questions.

We have had several episodes experimenting with the Roundtable Video series, and now I think we are ready to make it a regular and permanent feature at BFP. The format and length will be pretty much the same. In addition to our trio we will be featuring rotating guests- including our BFP partners, contributing authors and others. However, after our initial experimentation I have decided to get out of the YouTube forums and make these episodes available to BFP activist members through BFP’s own streaming video server. Of course we will post very brief preview clips on our YouTube channel and homepage in order to provide a general overview of each episode, but the full show will be available only to our activist members and supporters @ Boiling Frogs Post.

Here is a brief bio for Pearse Redmond:

Pearse Redmond- BFP Partner Producer & Host, BFP Roundtable Video Series
Pearse Redmond is an alternative researcher and podcaster based in New York City.  He covers a wide variety of topics including geopolitics, terrorism, cults, and deep-state events.  He is the host of Porkins Policy Radio, and co-host of Porkins Great Game with Christoph Germann, as well as The CIA & Hollywood with Tom Secker.  Visit Pearse’s website here.

Let’s welcome Pearse to our BFP activist community. I am looking forward to our first Round Table episode!

Investigative Journalist & Analyst Erik Moshe

A few weeks ago I began communicating with writer, researcher and journalist Erik Moshe. Erik had been following our coverage of issues at BFP and realized the synergy between the areas/topics we cover and his areas of interest. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2009-2013, and his areas of interest and research include world history, international conflicts and cover-ups.  Erik is currently working on his first multi-part series of research-analysis on the issue of Drones: the history of the drone, where the idea came from, and what it's foreshadowing for our future. Additionally he will be analyzing the issue of Drones from a psychological perspective: Perceptions related to the use of drones in today's society, why drones are revolting to us, why we oppose them, and much more.

I am looking forward to Erik’s part I of the series, which will published at BFP very soon, and will be available exclusively to our activist members.

Here is Erik’s bio:

BFP Partner Journalist & Analyst
Erik Moshe is BFP investigative journalist and analyst. He is an independent writer from Hollywood, Florida, and has worked as an editor of alternative news blog Media Monarchy and as an intern journalist with the History News Network. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 2009-2013. You can visit his site here.

Welcome to BFP Erik!

For those of you who have not read my recent comments under our latest episode of Probable Cause: I will be continuing our podcast series, however, for the next four months, due to my quarterly contract work and some travel (June-July), on average we will have a new episode every other week. I love our podcast series, especially our discussions related to each podcast. I would love nothing more than to be able to do this full-time, multiple times a week, including bonus episodes based on ‘current events & headlines.’ Unfortunately, we were not able to meet our subscription drive-campaign goal for the last quarter, so in order to make ends meet I had to sign up for another quarterly contract involving analyses-translations. Hopefully, one day soon, I will be able to quit my part-time job and focus solely on BFP. Well, that’s one of the items on my wish list. As you all know, another major item for BFP is to be able to enroll full-time investigative journalists to do major exposé work. I still have my hopes intact- together we shall get there; hopefully sooner rather than later. Until then 😉

Porkins Policy Radio- Gladio Operations in Russia’s Backyard, Chechens & Al-Zawahiri’s 1996 Imprisonment in Russia

On this week’s episode we continue our roundtable discussion on Gladio B with Sibel Edmonds and Tom Secker. Picking up where we last left off, the three of us explore some of the reasons for Russia’s presumed intransigence in the face of mounting NATO and Gladio operations in their backyard. As a case study for this we look at Ayman Al Zawahiri’s little-discussed imprisonment by the Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in Chechnya in 1996 while traveling with four diplomatic passports and a laptop. We discuss why the FSB captured him as well as why they let him go. We also explore the recent uptick in violence in Chechnya and how this relates to an increase in NATO operations meant to destabilize Russia.

De-Manufacturing Consent- Fear and Fake Journalism: Is the ISIS Propaganda Working?

Guillermo Jimenez Presents Pearse Redmond

On this edition of De-Manufacturing Consent: Guillermo is joined by Pearse Redmond, host of Porkins Policy Radio. Pearse breaks down the enigmatic character of Matthew Van Dyke, the former "journalist" turned freedom fighter in Libya, who Pearse refers to as the "CIA's favorite mercenary." We discuss his relationship with both James Foley and Steven Sotloff — journalists allegedly kidnapped, murdered, and beheaded by the Islamic State and used in propaganda videos — and the implications of their association with a deceitful, phony journalist, self-professed propagandist, and potential CIA asset.

We also discuss the ongoing fear mongering regarding ISIS, their supposed infiltration of Cuidad Juarez, Mexico, and their plot to sneak across the US border and use Mexican drug cartels to "take out a power grid" in the United States. We detail how such an outlandishly ridiculous story took shape and spread throughout the media, perfectly timed to coincide with the anniversary of 9/11, and how certain sectors of the "alternative media" are feeding into this latest round of fear-based propaganda.
