The 1st Commandment of U.S. Imperial Pursuits: What’s Good for the Goose is NOT Good for the Gander!

The Sheer Joy of Imperial Hubris & One-Way Equations

It is time for our government to put aside diplomatic lingo and modified expressions and just state the facts as they see and believe them. It is way past time for our nation to hear it from our government - the BS-free and straight-forward version of the first and foremost principle of our nation’s foreign policy. Sure; we have seen it in practice-that is, those of us with eyes wide open, watching our daily imperial operations and executions around the globe. But let’s face it, sometimes you need to hear it from the horse’s mouth plain and simple, and then, be done with it: Putting aside all pretentions and posturing and fakeries.

Fact: We are currently threading our way through a unipolar world as a super-power nation; unchallenged.

Fact: As a super-power nation with multi-fronted imperial pursuits we lay out the rules; solely.

Fact: As an empire we dictate to and impose our rules on the entire world in a one-way fashion; our imperial entitlement.

Fact: Our empire savors the sheer joy of its hubris and imposed one-way equations; an imperial right.

Fact: Not all nations are equal. There is us, the empire, and then there is the rest of the world; an imperial fact.

Fact: Our empire has the absolute right to state and dictate unabashedly that What’s Good for the Goose is NOT Good for the Gander; period.

Allow me to illustrate these facts in action by using recent developments involving US responses to and interactions with the rest of the world- nothing like real-life examples to demonstrate facts that are rarely stated in truthful and plain words.

The Imperial Right to Abuse Human Rights

For years and years the United States has been accusing China of detaining activists and suppressing and imprisoning ethnic separatists and minorities. This is how our imperial operators respond to such practices when countries like China engage in them:

Uzra Zeya, acting assistant secretary in the U.S. State Department's bureau of democracy, human rights and labor, said China should cease using harassment, detention and arrest to silence human rights activists and their families and friends.

Of course, as we know, China is our competitor, and it does not fall within US imperial extension territory.

Today the U.S. singles out Syria in a rights report:

The United States on Thursday singled out Syria, Russia, China and Egypt for using restrictive laws to suppress political opposition, minorities and journalists seeking to expose abuses, according to the State Department's 2014 Human Rights Report.

As we all know, Syria has not yet fallen into our colonial territories.

Yesterday, the United States declared, loudly and clearly, Iran as a nation among the world’s worst human rights abusers:

Even as they make gestures toward rapprochement with the West, Iran’s leaders remain among the world’s worst human rights offenders, according to a State Department report

Well, Iran is a nation that has remained outside our sphere of influence for quite a while, thus our imperial title given to it as one of the axis of evil- as far as the empire and its interests are concerned.

There are other countries that are engaged in equally or worse practices against human rights- from imprisonment to torture and execution. Some of these countries are considered our colonial extensions here and there. They are under our imperial sphere of influence. We, the empire, do not declare these nations as evil and abusers; in fact, we fortify their power and ability to torture and kill. They are our torturers and murderers. We like them, protect them, and will make sure no one touches them.

Let’s talk about Bahrain: a major strategic partner for the U.S. that received $80.4 million in military financing from the U.S. between 2005 and 2010, and is home to a U.S. naval base which houses the U.S. Fifth Fleet.

Thousands of protesters in the small island Kingdom of Bahrain in the Persian Gulf took to the streets calling for government reform in February and March 2011. The Bahraini government’s response was brutal and systematic: shoot civilian protesters, detain and torture them, and erase all evidence.

On the frontline, treating hundreds of these wounded civilians, doctors had first-hand knowledge of government atrocities. As a result of their efforts to provide unbiased care for wounded protestors, the government initiated systematic and targeted attacks against medical personnel. This assault on healthcare workers and their patients constitutes extreme violations of the principle of medical neutrality and are grave breaches of international law.

As an imperial mini dog within our Middle Eastern colony, our empire neither sought regime change nor strongly condemned Bahrain. Not only that, our empire rewarded and fortified Bahrain to facilitate its ongoing abuses and keep it in power as one of our dogs:

The resumption of arms sales by the US to Bahrain came as a surprise last week as a human rights crisis continues to rage in the small island country…The silence from the US on the crackdown in Bahrain has been particularly deafening.

There are plenty of imperial dogs around the world whose abuse, torture, imprisonment and murder practices are deemed rightful, and supported by the empire. Think Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Jordan … Call it imperial discretion. Call it imperial hypocrisy. Call it whatever you want. No matter what you call it the fact remains: What’s Good for the Imperial Goose is NOT Good for the Gander Outside the Imperial Colony!

There are Responses to Protests, and then There are Responses to Protests

Do you remember the Occupy Protests here in the States not that long ago? Do you remember the scenes of our police using brutality against peaceful protestors? You should. It wasn’t that long ago. Well, if you don’t, here, I’ll refresh your memory:

A group of legal experts have published a report which contains 130 cases that can be qualified as police brutality against Occupy Wall Street protesters in New York. Researchers at NYU and Fordham University have concluded that NYPD officers acted beyond their powers during their intense crackdown against Occupy protesters.

The study found that police used batons, scooters, horses, and metal barricades to inflict unnecessary force and intimidation on demonstrators. But the barricades were not only used as barriers around encampments.

According to the report, officers threw one protester so hard that she became “semi-airborne” before falling unconscious. An officer then shoved a barricade into her chest. In several instances, officers used pepper spray to disperse peaceful demonstrators.

Let me refresh your memory even further with some graphic films showing how the United States’ police force operated against peaceful activists:

Our imperial government shrugged off all the brutal forces used against its people as its given right to serve and protect… itself from dissent.

Now, similar brutalities have been taking place in Turkey against some protestors. Let’s watch a video:

How identical is that? Without the uniform color you couldn’t tell the two sets of videos, US police & Turkish police, apart. Both wrong. However, in this similarity, two wrongs don’t make it right. But, two wrongs don’t make it wrong either. According to our imperial standards, two wrongs make one of them wrong, and the other one right. Here is the US response when the target of the dissent (the protest) happens to be a king that is no longer one of its own cadres of kings:

Multiple U.S. officials have supported the protests citing them as a sign of a healthy democracy. Secretary Kerry spoke to reporters about this topic during a joint press conference on Monday morning: And we are concerned by the reports of excessive use of force by police … Carney, along with the State Department, called for a "full investigation" of the reports of injuries and excessive force by Turkish officials.

I have been writing articles about the fallout between the US Empire and the current administration in Turkey. You can read them here and here, and watch my interview video here.

So you see, the Bahrain principle doesn’t apply here. Not any longer. Of course, the imperial standards of its police conduct on the home front do not apply either. Again, What’s Good for the Goose & its goslings is NOT Good for the Gander!

The power and right to unlawfully spy … a power granted only to the Emperor’s throne

How does the empire view spying? Is spying a bad thing? It depends; depends on who is doing the spying on whom. Just like free trade, it is 100% one way, and there is no way around it. Not if the empire gets its say and way. Meaning: The Empire can spy on everyone everywhere in the world, and use its data gathered from spying in any way it chooses. Basically, the entire world, with its population, nations, and nations’ leaders falls within the empire’s fiefdom; they are imperial subjects. Period.

Germany: U.S. might have monitored Merkel's phone

U.S. now bugging German ministers in place of Merkel

Report: U.S. intercepts French phone calls on a 'massive scale'

NSA France: U.S. Conducted Large-Scale Spying On French Citizens

Trust me, everyone is there: French, Brazilians, Russians, Chinese, Venezuelans … you name it. We have a mammoth surveillance-spy agency fit for the empire: massive, powerful, indiscreet, unaccountable … fit for an empire! But wait, that’s an imperial right, and in a unipolar world with one empire, no one else should dare engage in spy trade and spy craft like this. That’s a rule; an imperial rule.

Remember the story, the real story, where our imperial operator was caught in the regime changing business in Ukraine? Intercepted F-Bomb Phone Call Shows U.S. Role in Ukraine

Right. This was a major exposé proving how we topple governments and countries, and how we install our own imperial puppets. Not many of us here at BFP needed that proof, but hey, some did. However, even though relevant to our imperial operations, this is not the point I intend to focus on in this article. Here is what I want to illustrate:

The White House on Thursday suggested that Russia, which has jockeyed with the United States and Europe for influence in Ukraine, played some role in the interception or dissemination of the conversation.

“The video was first noted and tweeted out by the Russian government,” Jay Carney, the White House press secretary, told reporters. “I think it says something about Russia’s role.” In a later briefing, Jen Psaki, the State Department spokeswoman, said she had no information about who posted the recording but criticized Moscow for promoting it. “Certainly we think this is a new low in Russian tradecraft,” she said.

The masters of deception and surveillance calling this a new low in Russian tradecraft”? If it establishes ‘lowliness,’ how low does that make the much lowlier imperial spy craft? That’s the question. Rest assured: arrogance and hubris will never go there. The emperors and imperial operators never do. It comes with imperialism: hubris and arrogance, and the strong notion of the earth revolving in only one direction-the Imperial way.

One-Way Free Trade: Our Way

The story goes something like this:

The United States is party to many free trade agreements (FTAs) worldwide. Beginning with the Theodore Roosevelt administration, the United States became a major player in international trade, especially with its neighboring territories in the Caribbean and Latin America. Today, the United States has become a leader of the free trade movement, standing behind groups such as the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (later the World Trade Organization).

Well, it is a good story, a good fiction story. The empire is pro free trade as long as the trade and its dealers benefit its imperial objectives. Not when certain kinds of free trade practices get in its way. Not when the empire is not a beneficiary; directly or indirectly.

Let me illustrate this how the empire reacts when one of its present or former colonies engages in a free trade arrangement where parties other than the empire become the beneficiary.

Last year Turkey violated one of the top Imperial commandments:

Turkey Mulls Buying Missiles from China, Snubbing NATO

NATO's Mounting Opposition to Turkey’s Chinese Missile System

U.S. talking to Turkey about China missile deal concerns

Turkey’s Choice of Chinese Missiles Poses Problem for West

U.S. Defense Bill Could Undercut Turkey’s Missile Defense Deal with China

It doesn’t matter whether the Chinese offered a much better price. It doesn’t make a difference whether the purchase and payment agreement terms were far more favorable or not. Turkey’s sovereignty as a nation to decide what it purchases or who it purchases from is not relevant. The only thing that matters: who is the beneficiary in this trade deal? Not the empire, then, fu.. Free Trade! The empire doesn’t like that kind of free trade. And it won’t allow it. Over its dead imperial body!

Maybe the empire should have clarified that right from the start: Certain free trade practices flow only one way-with the empire and its extension at the other end. Period.

Imperially Correct Corruption & Thievery

The other day I was discussing the latest allegation that had surfaced regarding Turkey’s PM Erdogan, involving money, bribery and corruption. Here are a few links on the still-developing story:

Turkish president defiant as wiretap scandal swirls

Erdogan overheard telling son to get rid of cash as Turkey corruption probe takes new twist

Turkey protesters clash over 'fake' wiretap

The gist of the story is this: allegedly the PM and his son had received some money (thirty million dollars) through kickbacks and corrupt arrangements, and they were trying to hide the money and destroy the evidence. Of course, for the empire, the news and allegation of corruption and bribery against one of their men who has fallen from favor has come in very handy. Hundreds of headlines playing this story up have been filling the imperial media outlets every day since the story broke.

Now, back to my discussion with my Turkish acquaintances. They were talking about the fact that almost all leaders in countries in that part of the world are engaged in corruption and wealth accumulation through public positions. I was trying to tell them that it was definitely not limited to that part of the world. That here, in this part of the world, our public officials not only do that, but do it multiple times more. The only difference: they do it in an imperially and politically correct way. The result is the same: thievery and corruption equal thievery and corruption, whether it is done in an imperially-politically correct way or not. A good parallel example would be prostitution: whether it is $10 per act street corner prostitution, or, $5000 per hour Manhattan escort service prostitution, it is prostitution.

Then, I gave an example of our famous Billy & his dame. Here are a few excerpts from a piece I wrote on Billy & Hillary last fall: Running for Public Office & Civil Servant Positions- The Fastest & Surest Path from Rags to Riches

Bill Clinton, unlike other presidents, did not inherit any wealth, made almost no money prior to his public service career, and gained little net worth during 20 plus years of his public service. However, magically, between the time he left office and 2010, his individual personal net-worth reached an estimated $55,000,000; that is $55 Million Dollars. Here is what USA Today reported on Clinton’s wealth accumulation in less than 8 years after leaving the White House: But since leaving office we estimate that Clinton has earned more than $125 million before taxes.

As reported by Wall Street and other publications, Clinton didn't come from a wealthy family or have a high-paying job before becoming president, but earned most of his money from speaking fees. Of course, we all know what ‘speaking fees’ stand for: The surest and safest way to bribe public officials in their postpublic office careers for favors and services rendered during their public service careers; here is what I mean…

You would think that would ring an alarm bell or two among those concerned with government corruption, ethics, bribery of public officials, and some such. No? Rest assured, content with their regular invitations to the Clinton Dynasty cocktails and balls, neither the liberal NGO parasites nor the socialist-wanna-be media outlets have uttered a single word or waged any finger-pointing. Well, we’ve never expected that from those obvious parasitic colonies, anyway…

The point I was trying to make was this: There are corruption and thieveries, and there are corruption and thieveries. Although the same acts, judgments and consequences (or lack of) depend on who is committing them, and whether they are committed in an imperially-correct way. Let me give you another example, this one from another imperial dog who is about to fall from imperial favor:

It's been a rough year for the politician, but at least he has his millions of dollars to ease the pain. 56-year-old Hamid Karzai has taken the No. 1 spot on People With Money’s top 10 highest-paid politicians for 2014 with an estimated $82 million in combined earnings.

The Afghan politician has an estimated net worth of $245 million. He owes his fortune to smart stock investments, substantial property holdings, lucrative endorsement deals with CoverGirl cosmetics. He also owns several restaurants (the “Fat Karzai Burger” chain) in Kabul, a Football Team (the “Kandahar Angels”), has launched his own brand of Vodka (Pure Wonderkarzai - Afghanistan), and is tackling the juniors market with a top-selling perfume (With Love from Hamid) and a fashion line called “Hamid Karzai Seduction”.

Mind you, the channels identified by the imperial members of the press are imperially and politically correct ways of channeling corrupt money and covering actual sources such as: heroin money, bribery, extortion …

As always, and as on many other topics, I could go on and write a fairly lengthy novella on this subject, and fill it with hundreds of facts and examples: The Imperial Detention & Torture in Guantanamo and Bagram, the Imperial Kidnapping, Torture & Black Sites, the Imperial Creation and Use of WMD Again and Again, The Imperial No Fly List, The Imperial NDAA, The Imperial’s Perpetual Wars, the Imperial War on Whistleblowers & Dissent … Most importantly: The Imperial Immunity, thus, the Imperial Hubris & Arrogance that claims: What’s Good for the Goose is NOT Good for the Gander!

CIA-Gladio’s Zionist Operatives Urge Obama to Overthrow Erdogan’s Administration

Morton Abramowitz, Eric Edelman & Blaise Misztal Demand Immediate Regime Change in Turkey

Earlier this week I wrote a lengthy analysis on the recent political crisis in Turkey- Turkish PM Erdogan:  The Speedy Transformation of an Imperial Puppet and illustrated how U.S.-Installed puppets go from democratic presidents to despots and & terrorists when their time comes. I followed up the analysis with an exclusive interview on this topic: Click Here

Today, Washington Post dutifully provided a platform for three outspoken Israel Lobbyists who are jointly calling on the Obama Administration to overthrow the current Turkish Administration. That’s right. You heard it right. Morton Abramowitz, Eric Edelman and Blaise Misztal jointly penned a hysteria-reeked article to declare Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan a despot, and a great threat to democracy and U.S. interests. Let’s provide a few excerpts from this propaganda-ridden article [All Emphasis Mine]:

Whatever his achievements over the past decade, Turkey’s prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is destroying his country’s parlous democracy. That is a profound problem for Turks and Turkey’s Western allies. Staying silent, out of fear that speaking out would harm some short-term interests, risks Turkey’s longer-term stability.

Turkey’s democratic decline creates a pressing dilemma for the United States. Erdogan’s current course would take Turkey from an imperfect democracy to an autocracy. Such a fate for a close ally and NATO member would have profound implications for our partnership, the United States’ beleaguered credibility and the prospects for democracy in the region.

U.S. policymakers should lay aside their reluctance to confront the disastrous impact of Erdogan’s dictatorial tendencies and remind the Turkish leader of the importance the United States attaches to Turkey’s political stability and democratic vitality. Particularly as their influence is greater than it appears

Erdogan is doing great harm to Turkey’s democracy. The United States should make clear, privately and publicly, that his extreme actions and demagoguery are subverting Turkey’s political institutions and values and endangering the U.S.-Turkey relationship.

The article is geared to achieve several objectives by the CIA-State Department connected and avid Israel Lobby operatives: 1- Declare Erdogan as a dictator, despot & a great threat to Turkey’s democracy; 2- Emphasize Erdogan and the AKP administration as a major threat to NATO and the United States; 3-Paint the Obama administration’s lack of overt meddling (because covertly there has been plenty of meddling) as severely weak and consequential; 4- Pressure the Obama Administration for an overt action against Erdogan (Regime Change a la Obama).

In my article and follow up interview I emphasized the role of Turkish Mullah Fethullah Gulen, who has been residing in the United States since 1998, as a major operative for CIA-NATO operations, not only in Turkey, but also in Central Asia and the Caucasus. During the past few years I have been a lone voice in the United States when it comes to real coverage of Gulen and his operations under the CIA. Here are a few examples of my coverage since 2009:

Boston Terror, CIA’s Graham Fuller & NATO-CIA Operation Gladio B-Caucasus & Central Asia

Turkish Intel Chief Exposes CIA Operations via Islamic Group in Central Asia

Turkish Imam Fethullah Gulen Nabs George Bush PR Queen

The Sanitized Gulen Coverage Continues…

Now, let’s review the strong ties that exist between the individuals who wrote this propaganda article for the Washington Post and Turkish Mullah Fethullah Gulen.

Mort Abramowitz, a known neocon, Israel lobbyist, CIA and State Department Operative, and PNAC signatory, has been one of Fethullah Gulen’s main handlers and backers. In fact, when the FBI and Homeland Security Department tried to kick the Islamic Mullah out of the United States, Abramowitz was one of the first Gulen CIA-State Department handlers to step in:

After years of investigating him the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, due to his guardian angels in the State Department and the CIA, are prevented from bringing an indictment against him, so they try to kick him out of the US. But once again Gulen’s CIA angels step in and portray Gulen as a scholar, despite the fact that Fethullah Gulen doesn’t even have a high-school diploma and never went beyond the 5th grade. Among his angels who vouched for him were Graham Fuller, George Fidas, and Morton Abramowitz.

As for Eric Edelman? Let’s go back nine years and check him out in my State Secrets Gallery: I presented State Department-CIA’s Eric Edelman as one of the top culprits in my State Secrets Privilege Case when the government invoked the State Secrets Privilege and several additional gag orders to cover up the FBI’s investigations and files pertaining to CIA-NATO terror operations in Central Asia & the Caucasus since the mid-1990s.

Just like Abramowitz, Edelman has been known as an avid Israel lobbyist and a neocon. Here are a couple of excerpts from an article that was written in 2007:

Edelman has close ties to Vice President Cheney and several other administration hardliners. He served under Cheney, then Secretary of Defense, in the first Bush administration. At that time, Cheney set up a “shop” to “think about American foreign policy after the Cold War, at the grand strategic level.” The project also included Paul Wolfowitz and Scooter Libby. [New Yorker, 4/1/02]

From 2001-2003, Edelman served as a national security adviser to Cheney. In 2003, he was named as U.S. ambassador to Turkey, attempting to convince Turkey to cooperate with the Bush administration’s plans to invade Iraq. Turkish columnist Ibrahim Karagul noted, “Edelman is probably the least-liked and trusted American ambassador in Turkish history.”

While not as crusty as Abramowitz and Edelman, Blaise Misztal has also been making a name for himself as a Zionist operative. His recent operations have been mainly geared towards Iran: Click Here

We have three avid Israel lobbyists known as hawks and neocons with backgrounds connected to the CIA-State Department who have upped their operations and propaganda dissemination calling for a “regime change” in Turkey. Neither one has ever been known as pro democratic values, human rights concerns or peace advocacy. Just the contrary: All three have been known as great advocates for wars and regime installations in the Middle East and elsewhere. They are saying it is time for Erdogan to go, and for a new puppet to be installed. Will Americans fall for this; again? Will the people in Turkey counter this, and take matters into their own hands? Time will tell, and not much time is left. And with that I’ll leave you with my in-depth interview on PM Erdogan & the Empire’s Reverse Engineering:

Sibel Edmonds is the Publisher & Editor of Boiling Frogs Post and the author of the Memoir Classified Woman: The Sibel Edmonds Story. Turkish PM Erdogan: The Speedy Transformation of an Imperial Puppet

This is How USA-Installed Puppets Go from Democratic Presidents to Despots & Terrorists When Their Time Comes

Have you heard this famous quote ‘Marketing is everything … and everything is marketing’? I know it was originally meant for product sales, because admit it, you can have the best product engineering, financial backing and operational mastery … but in the end the success of your product is determined by how your customers perceive your product-your brand. This principle of marketing applies equally as well to our domestic politics and politicians, and it is equally valid for world politics and leaders. The principle governs one of the main operations of the U.S. Empire: Regime Building & Puppet Installation. Not only that, it is also used in reverse as well. Think of it as reverse engineering. It is very similar: The Empire uses the same principle of marketing to bring down regimes and uninstall puppets. The reversal of Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan’s world and domestic image provides a perfect example of the Empire’s reverse marketing.

In the United States, for over a decade, Turkey’s AKP Party and its leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan had been branded, marketed, and promoted as truly democratic and fair, and the best model of a democratic government for the Islamic world. Please allow me to provide examples of this branding and marketing performed by the US media for the masters and planners of the Empire:

Let us begin with one of the top marketing arms of the Empire’s branding and marketing operations- CNN

Turkey Can Model Democracy for the Arab World

…Turkey, led by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Justice and Development Party (AKP), as a model of a modern, democratic and Islamic nation nurturing pluralist ideals.

Rather than viewing Turkey's increasing currency in the region as a challenge, America should see it as an opportunity. From its free-market economic system, which is registering Chinese-level growth, to its compatible ideals, the promotion of the Turkish model is in America's national interest. Turkey effectively counters militant groups by challenging them from within Muslim society while also representing a crucial bridge between the West and the Muslim world.

America can immediately take practical steps to promote the Turkish model by encouraging the Egyptian army to move the nation toward a genuine, civilian-elected government.

Now, let’s move to another significant marketing branch-this one disguised as independent and nonprofit: NPR

Turkish Democracy: A Model for Other Countries

Then there are the middle-of-the-road marketing arms:

Turkey is a Model for Democracy & New Relations with the West

Turkey’s rising trajectory was highlighted by the rock-star reception accorded to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan during his recent tour of the Arab Spring states of Egypt, Tunisia and Libya and his high-profile meetings during the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Many find the Turkish model enticing, with the moderate Islamic Justice and Development Party, known as AKP, in office; a secular constitution in place; a strong military that is subservient to the elected civilian authority; and an economy that has been expanding.

Overall there’s hope that a new democratic era in the Middle East and North Africa will enable Arabs to develop a new paradigm for relations with the West. This paradigm would be based on equality and partnership – a position that Turkey has already achieved.

We must not leave out one of the major international marketing branches of the Empire: BBC:  Turkey: a model of democracy for the Arab world

And, let us not forget or leave out the important role played by the symbolic head(s) of the Empire in its branding and marketing operations. Here is President Obama selling the world on the Empire’s own installed leader:

I just want to say how much I appreciate the opportunity to once again meet with my friend and colleague, Prime Minister Erdogan.  I think it's fair to say that over the last several years, the relationship between Turkey and the United States has continued to grow across every dimension.  And I find Prime Minister Erdogan to be an outstanding partner and an outstanding friend on a wide range of issues.

Of course, once that happens, when the symbolic Imperial President markets and sells an imperial product, the world echoes it: Obama Names Turkey’s Erdoğan among Top Five International Friends

That’s right. The U.S. Empire spent over a decade marketing and promoting its favorite puppet in the Middle East- the AKP Party & Erdogan, as the model for the Islamic World, Islamic Democracy, People’s Choice, Great Leader … And then, bam, suddenly the AKP Party and its leader reached their shelf-life. All of a sudden they reached their expiration date. Almost over-night the party and its leader went from democratic to despotic, from democracy-loving to dictator, from squeaky clean to utterly corrupt, from moderate to extremist … what the hell happened? How did the Empire-directed man of choice make a 180 degree turn overnight?

Let me give you some examples of the sudden reversal in branding and marketing, and have you compare and contrast them with those above. Please keep in mind, you are looking at a only few months between the decade-long branding-marketing and the now reverse branding-marketing.

The following is from the same uber branch of the Empire that spent over ten years promoting the opposite: CNN

Turkey's Erdogan: Successful Leader or 'Dictator'?

Erdogan "is offering unfortunate proof that it is possible to be both elected and authoritarian."

Many journalists say press freedoms in Turkey have declined under his rule. Reporters Without Borders says Turkey "is currently the world's biggest prison for journalists, especially those who express views critical of the authorities on the Kurdish issue."

Many secular Turks complain that the Islamist-rooted government is intolerant of criticism and diverse lifestyles, as evidenced by the recent enactment of tight restrictions on the sale of alcohol, Fadi Hakura, manager of the Turkey Project at the London-based think tank Chatham House, said in a CNN.com column.

Let me just go ahead and list a few other headlines from thousands that have been filling the headlines on Turkey’s AKP & Erdogan for the last few months:

Erdogan: Turkey's 'Good Dictator'

Turkey’s Erdogan: An Autocratic Islamist Bigot

Erdogan is Harming Turkey’s Secular Democratic Tradition

Erdoğan’s Naked Theatre of Democracy

Simmering Anger at Erdogan's Authoritarianism Boils over in Turkey

Turkey: Between Deep State & Dictatorship

Turkey's Democratic Institutions Besieged

The Specter of Dictatorship Hangs over Turkey

I know that even the idiots among us would not believe such a sudden and drastic change in a person. No one goes from being the most freedom loving leader to the most authoritarian despot. No human being can be transformed from democratic to dictator in a matter of few months. No person can switch from fair and squeaky clean to utterly dirty and corrupt. Nobody can convert from being a moderate Islamist to an extremist bigot in less than a year. But wait, there is even more.

The Empire has even resorted to the “Terrorist” label in the reverse branding-marketing of their previous puppet boy. You know what it means when they start using that card-terrorist. Right?

Here is an article on Erdogan’s ties to a famous man designated as a terrorist (only when it is convenient for the Empire):

Erdogan’s Son Caught with Al-Qaeda Financier

Turkey’s political crisis took a dark turn this week. Photos of Prime Minister Erdoğan’s son meeting a suspected al-Qaeda financier in an Istanbul hotel were leaked to the press. The photos allegedly show Bilal Erdoğan meeting Saudi Arabian businessman Yasin al-Qadi, whom the US blacklisted in April 2013 as an al-Qaeda funder. According to media reports, Qadi, who visits Turkey frequently and was escorted by the Prime Minister’s security men, met Bilal to discuss a deal for a juicy piece of real estate worth $1 billion in Istanbul’s Etiler neighborhood.

Of course, Al Qadi’s refuge in Turkey and his activities there, and his ties to Erdogan and other high-level figures in Turkey, had been known for over ten years.

Qadi’s relationship with Turkey and the Erdoğan family goes back a few years. In 2004 the Wall Street Journal uncovered transactions worth more than $1 million between Qadi and Maram, a Turkish front company that funded terrorists in Yemen. Associates of Qadi’s, including managers at Maram, are known funders and founders of al-Qaeda. Qadi has frequently and vehemently denied the accusations and spent a lot of money trying to clear his name. But at the very least, his dealings in Turkey are suspicious. According to opposition lawmakers, his presence in the country is illegal.

No matter. It doesn’t matter whether this news is as old as a decade-old moldy loaf of bread. It doesn’t matter that the US government had zero problems with not only al Qadi but several other high-level terrorists operating out of Turkey for over a decade. It doesn’t matter at all. The branding-marketing branch of the Empire will continue to use the terrorist card [All Emphasis Mine]:

Turkish PM Erdogan Hit by Allegations of Son’s Meeting with ‘Al Qaeda Financier’

According to findings by investigators leaked to Turkish media, Yasin Al Qadi is suspected of involvement in a scandal over the sale of land in an upmarket neighborhood in Istanbul. His alleged meeting last year with Bilal Erdogan could implicate the prime minister’s family in the affair.

The allegations could not come at a worse time for Mr. Erdogan, whose government is reeling from a series of corruption allegations.

In 2008, Forbes Magazine, published a fairly lengthy article on Yasin Al Qadi and his Turkish ties [All Emphasis Mine]:

Did the ”Specially Designated Global Terrorist,” Yasin Al Qadi, evade U.N. sanctions with the help of politically connected friends in Turkey?

Not everyone agrees with this picture of Al Qadi. “I know Mr. Qadi,” Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan told a local television news station in July 2006. “I believe in him as I believe in myself. For Mr. Qadi to associate with a terrorist organization, or support one, is impossible.”

Back to Turkey: Al Qadi is not just a friend of Prime Minister Erdogan, but he’s close to a group of Islamic businessmen and politicians around the prime minister. It has already been widely reported in the press, mostly notably in a Wall Street Journal article in August 2007, that Al Qadi was a major and early investor in BIM, a food retailer originally founded in the mid-1990s by entrepreneurial brothers Aziz and Cuneyd Zapsu. According to Al Qadi’s lawyer, the Saudi exited BIM in 1999, despite reports to the contrary, and well before his controversial U.N. listing.

Kacar’s 2004 Al Qadi report, delivered under what the investigator said was intense pressure to complete his probe, cited evidence that Al Qadi’s companies in Turkey were transferring funds between 1997 and 2001 far in excess of both companies’ net incomes, and were still operating at the time of the report. Wired funds he traced from various companies and individuals went to, among others, a “charity” and other individuals branded terrorists or terrorist fronts by international investigators; there was reason to continue his investigations, Kacar wrote.

I strongly urge you to read the entire investigative article here. Before the terrorist attacks in September 2001, the FBI was fully aware of Al Qadi’s operations with key al Qaeda figures. Not only that, there were several investigations and operations targeting al Qadi and his network in the United States prior to 9/11. Some of these investigations were based in the FBI’s Washington Field Office, and others were being conducted from the FBI’s Chicago Field Office.

The State Department and the CIA pressured the Bureau prior and post 9/11 to close and cover-up those investigations pertaining to Turkey and Al Qadi, because exposing those operations would have resulted in exposure of covert CIA-NATO operations in Central Asia and the Caucasus during the period between 1996 and 2002. A few months ago, before these re-leaks found their way into the media as new news, I briefly discussed al Qadi during one of my Gladio interview series with James Corbett. Here is a segment from that interview:

The terrorist card is being played by the Empire’s marketing arm, and it will continue to be played. The favorite puppet, who was previously characterized and promoted by the Empire as a favorite leader, moderate and democratic, is now being reintroduced to the public, here and abroad, as despotic, a dictator, corrupt, and even a terrorist. Now comes the real question: why?

CIA Operations via Imam Fethullah Gulen

The downfall of Turkey’s Erdogan began with a rift between him and the CIA-Created Muslim Preacher Imam Fethullah Gulen. One of our authors has been covering the rift for Boiling Frogs Post. You can read his latest analysis here and here. However, one cannot truly understand Erdogan’s downfall without knowing the importance and power of CIA’s Fethullah Gulen. Since 2009 I have been a lone voice in reporting, analyzing and exposing the Imam and his multi-billion dollar Islamic network and operations around the globe, fully orchestrated and backed by the Central Intelligence Agency-CIA. Allow me to provide you with a few highlights from my reports since 2009.

The Sanitized Gulen Coverage Continues…

Here is a recent article that delves into Erdogan countering CIA’s Mullah Gulen’s operations and network in Turkey:

Turkey Scandal Deepens with Raid on Charity Accused of Al Qaeda Ties

Turkish police raided offices of a government-backed Islamic charity in six provinces on Tuesday and detained at least 23 people accused of having links with Al Qaeda, local media reported. The coordinated operation against the Humanitarian Relief Foundation, or IHH, prompted the leadership of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to sack the senior police official responsible for conducting the raid at the charity's Kilis headquarters, the Hurriyet Daily News reported.

For Erdogan the rift with Imam Fethullah Gulen means a rift with the CIA. And we all know what happens to those puppets when they end up in a rift with the CIA. Don’t we? The rift always brings expiration. Once a puppet is considered expired, then lo and behold, all of a sudden, the reversal branding and marketing begins: All old skeletons are dug out of the deep closets and leaked to the media. His previously overlooked human rights violations are looked at and scrutinized under a microscope. The terrorist card is brought into the equation. And the list goes on …

Violating Imperial Commandments

All Empire-installed puppets and regimes must commit to the Empire’s commandments. This is a fact. It is the reality. Thou shall not violate the Imperial commandments. Because if you do, thou shall be disgraced, exposed, uninstalled, and may even be given death. All you have to do is look at the past century’s history. See what happens when an installed puppet gets too confident and inflicted with hubris, and ignores one or more commandments. This is when they are reborn as dictators, despots, torturers, and yes, terrorists. This is when their backyards get dug up to find a few grams of weapons of mass destruction. So did Erdogan get too confident? Did he violate a commandment or two? It seems that he did.

Turkey Mulls Buying Missiles from China, Snubbing NATO

Turkey has said that it is likely to buy a new missile defense program from a Chinese firm, unnerving NATO and American diplomats. A Reuters report from earlier this month said that Turkey is “highly likely” to buy the $3.4 billion program, from a firm under American sanctions, no less.

NATO's Mounting Opposition to Turkey’s Chinese Missile System

Turkey’s Choice of Chinese Missiles Poses Problem for West

Washington has reacted with concern over the decision of Turkey's Defense Industry Executive Committee (SSIK), the absolute authority on the country's defense projects and procurement, to acquire China’s FD-2000 system to fill the NATO member's high-altitude and long-range air defense gap. The committee met on Sept. 26 with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to enter into contract negotiations with the state-owned China Precision Machinery Export-Import Corporation.

Concern? Are you kidding me?! The puppet may as well sign his own death warrant. How dare he! This is violating one of the top Imperial commandments. Anyone who ever dares to be this reckless will be punished and made an example for all other installed-puppets.

Dear lord! Here comes another major commandment violation:

Turkey Renews Plea to Join Shanghai Cooperation Organization

During a trip to Russia in November, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again said that Ankara would abandon its quest to join the European Union if it was offered full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

Mr. Erdogan Goes to Shanghai

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan dropped that bomb on Jan. 25. With Turkish hopes for the EU membership diminishing, he declared the SCO to be a viable alternative to the European Union. “I said to Russian President Vladimir Putin, ‘You tease us, saying, ‘what [is Turkey] doing in the EU?’ Now I tease you: Include us in the Shanghai Five and we will forget about the EU.’”

Ouch! There goes another pledge to the Empire’s top commandments. Frankly, I am surprised he is still there-alive.

No matter how we look at it Erdogan’s days are numbered. One will not get away with having a major rift with the CIA. That’s one commandment. Violated. Thou shall not buy weapons from China or Russia regardless of quality or price advantage. Thou shall only feed the Empire’s own fat Military Industrial Complex players. That’s another major commandment. Violated. A puppet shall only be a member of clubs solely owned and operated by the Empire. Joining others’ clubs, even thinking of joining others’ clubs, shall come with severe retribution. This rule has been written with inerasable ink- Violated. Well, these should take care of the Empire’s three-strike rule. Erdogan should begin looking for a shelter; a refuge. Either it’s that, or the Turkish people taking the matters into their own hands-where they belong.

Another ‘Viable’ Candidate Bites the Dust …

Maksim Bakiyev: A Groomed Puppet Who Never Came to Be King

STBakKyrgyzstan’s Wanted Fugitive: Maksim Bakiyev. The story is more or less the same - the one that has been repeating itself for many decades.  The one based on a script written by the very same conductors who wrote the ones before, and who will probably be writing the ones to come (yes, they’re blessed with longevity; a curse for the rest of us). The location - always a resource rich country or one strategically crucial to resource rich countries. A viable candidate (sometimes candidates) chosen based on the exact same set of criteria - such as degree of corruptibility, and degree of atrocity or criminal tendencies. The grooming and training locations also are the same: the United States of America or the proxy brother, The United Kingdom. The supporting actors are a combination of old timers, think World Bank or IMF, and newer ones with even fancier names, such as XYZ Democratization and Development Fund, posing as well-intentioned NGOs. Okay, enough with the details, since we are very familiar with this repeating script and its consistent execution - collectively known and referred to as United States Foreign Policy.

The Bakiyev ‘Groom & Plant’ script, like almost all its predecessors, contains the same good ole classical elements: strategically important Central Asian nation, vital US fuel supply artery to keep the war machines humming and destroying in Afghanistan, major artery for transportation of heroin, puppet NATO partnership & the same-o-same-o big bad Russians to compete with, dozens of US NGO’s planted to serve you-know-who’s interests (here is a hint: not the people of Kyrgyzstan nor the American people), a staged and orchestrated revolution by our State Department - named after a innocently beautiful flower - to overthrow the guy who was closer to China & Russia, planting a new corrupt despot clan all carrying the same last name-Bakiyev. Then taking the son, the prince, Maksim Bakiyev, under ‘the mighty’ wings and starting his grooming and training here in the United States, helping the new groomed prince set up companies to corrupt & embezzle, and actually having our CIA operator(s) and politicians partner up with him in these enterprises - allocating  US financial experts, politicians,  and operators to execute a massive embezzlement scheme by the ‘groomed & planted’ prince, later to become a wanted fugitive ‘groomed but no longer planted’ prince with at least $70 million to be rescued and brought under protection…

CilBasically, with the Bakiyev story we have another all too familiar foreign policy and practices abroad scenario repeating itself. Before I get into that way too familiar story I want to revisit a couple of old ‘groom & plant’ examples I have covered here at Boiling Frogs post, starting with a ‘groomed & planted, and later protected’ Former Prime Minister of Turkey, Ms. Tansu Ciller as a perfect example of a Middle Eastern leader who was selected, declared ‘viable,’ supported, promoted, installed, and protected by our foreign policy script writers:

1. Ms. Ciller completed her advanced degrees in the United States – M.S. from the University of New Hampshire and PhD from the University of Connecticut. During this extended period while she resided in the US we had ample time and opportunity to train and mold her for the leadership position in Turkey.

2. Ms. Ciller was granted citizenship in the United States. In order to keep this fact from tarnishing her image during her candidacy campaign in Turkey and afterwards, we designated her US citizenship status ‘Classified and Top Secret’ on the grounds of Sensitive Diplomatic Relations. To this date, despite all attempts, Turkish authorities have been unable to have these files opened.

3. Ms. Ciller and her husband Ozer Ciller were closely involved with certain CIA operations prior to and after her return to Turkey, and their intimate relationship continued throughout her tenure as Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey. In fact, the CIA’s Roger Tamraz (see BCCI) was their partner in two front companies: ‘Emperyal’, which acquired and operated six (6) Casinos in Turkmenistan, and, ‘Lapis,’ involved with the oil pipeline project.

4. Ms. Ciller and her husband, before being considered ‘viable’ by us, already had an established shady financial past, including involvement in an embezzlement scandal connected to the collapse of ‘Istanbul Bankasi’, one of Turkey’s largest private banks. This along with involvements fortified Ms. Ciller’s qualification criteria when compared to competing applicants.

5. Ms. Ciller understood and participated in Turkey’s important strategic and operational role in the supply and transportation of heroin. She skillfully and very aggressively combined and furthered the marriage between the state military-police-intelligence and the underground heroin industry. Her notoriety even reached the German Courts, where she was accused of supporting and protecting the drug mafia – active not only in Turkey but elsewhere, including Europe and Central Asia.

6. Ms. Ciller played a direct role in scandals involving corruption, embezzlement, and state sponsored terrorism and narcotics operations. The best known scandal, one of her masterpieces, is known as ‘Susurluk’. Ciller and her husband – who is known for his mafia links and dealings, were directly implicated in Susurluk. The high profile kept by Ms. And Mr. Ciller during these scandals and their handling of them afterwards significantly bolstered their ‘value’ and ‘viability’ for us.

7. Ms. Ciller’s ‘known’ wealth is confirmed to be over $50 million, all of which was gained after she became a ‘’viable’ candidate supported directly by the US. A large portion of her investments and accounts are in the United States.

BhuttoZAnd here is our second example with the almost exact same script, a ‘groomed & planted, and many times rescued’ puppet(s) in Pakistan. I am making that ‘puppet’ plural since the same script happens to extend to the spouse who currently rules, kinda! And here is the list for the Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Ms. Benazir Bhutto:

.

1. Ms. Bhutto obtained her bachelor degree in the United States – BA from Radcliffe College at Harvard University. Later she attended Oxford University in the UK where she pursued International Law and Diplomacy. She spent a total of eight years in the US and UK – 1969-1977. Again, this time spent ‘abroad’ was ideal for the satisfactory grooming of Ms. Bhutto for ‘installment.’

2. Ms. Bhutto was granted British Citizenship and maintained her dual citizenship throughout her career as a candidate and later as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Her husband, the current President of Pakistan, also received British citizenship and has maintained his dual citizenship to date. The perceived conflict of interest back in her home country did not prove to be an obstacle for ‘us’ or the Bhuttos, thanks to our PR and global image projection activities.

3. Ms. Bhutto and her husband maintained intimate relationships with the underground economy and high level players of the heroin pipeline. Ms. Bhutto was a close ally, protector, and intimate friend of convicted Pakistani Drug Baron and Former Parliamentarian, Ayub Afridi, who like Bhutto, was given protection and safe haven in Dubai, one of our closest allies. These relationships and direct connections, some of which were directly inherited from her father, significantly bolstered Ms. Bhutto’s value for us and our British counterparts.

4. Ms. Bhutto and her husband proved to be desirably ambitious and admirably skilled in using their power, position, and connections, together with our protection, to misuse their proceeds of corruption and embezzlements to accumulate great wealth. Today her husband, who inherited this wealth, is the fifth richest man in Pakistan with a net worth of nearly $2 billion. As confirmation of their successful accumulation of wealth, in the 90s Ms. Bhutto and her husband purchased a 20-bedroom mansion in Surrey, England. They were known for their proficiency in receiving ‘kickbacks.’ Just the kickbacks they received from Swiss Cargo Inspection Companies alone were worth $12 million, which they stashed wisely in offshore companies in Swiss bank accounts.

5. Ms. Bhutto’s Bill of Mental Health was not of much interest. However, she was permitted to transfer credits from her husband, Mr. Ali Asif Zardari. His is a far more interesting mental health record, made all the more interesting since she pledged to place him in an official position of power. He and his ‘mental health’ conditions proved to be extremely useful in ‘necessary’ operations involving murder, drug smuggling, corruption, and embezzlement, thus our making an exception for Ms. Bhutto was justified in this particular case.

6. Ms. Bhutto exhibited great skills in ‘Multiple Image Projection’. With our direct backing and promotion she quickly sold her image as a needed progressive, democratic, and pro humanitarian leader for Pakistan. Just as quickly, at home in Pakistan, she was able to establishherself as equal to if not better than her dictatorial predecessors by sanctioning and carrying out extrajudicial killings, torture, persecution of religious minorities, and arbitrary detention. She also determinedly took extraordinary measures to muzzle the independent media. These skills were also applied to her utilization and exploitation of feministic support. At the same time she was portraying herself as a progressive and feminist example for ‘that’ part of the world, she was making deals and establishing close ties with the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, notorious for their abuse of women…

Maksim Bakiyev: A Brief & MSM-Preferred Case Background

Let’s start with the commonly known, easily retrievable Wikipedia and mainstream media based background on Maksim Bakiyev and related recent news.

Who is Maksim Bakiyev? He is the 33 year old, fugitive, Kyrgyz businessman, the younger son of Kyrgyzstan’s former president Kurmanbek Bakiyev. Maksim currently lives in the United Kingdom - where he’s been granted residency and provided with protection (including for his embezzled millions). He studied legal law in Kyrgyzstan. According to his Wikipedia bio:

He received additional education on legal issues in Britain and the US. As a student, Maksim worked in a consultation firm, specializing in investment into emerging markets in Central Asia and the Middle East. Maksim was widely believed to be the richest man in Kyrgyzstan.

Hmmmmmm. What are the major information points missing here? What the heck did he really study in the US and Britain? Which universities? Was it Langley Campus? Where did he reside? McLean, Virginia? What was the name of this mysterious consulting firm specializing in investment into emerging markets in Central Asia & the Middle East? Was it one of James Baker’s firms? Or was it Henry Kissinger’s? Or, was it Carlyle? And, how did he become the richest man in Kyrgyzstan, from having nothing, in less than 5 years?

After skipping over all these important ‘missing links,’ we are fast forwarded to the latest presented by the media and here at Wikipedia:

Maksim was in charge of delivering fuel to the Manas International Airport, which also hosts a US airbase,[2] through Mina Corp. Maksim was appointed the head of Central Agency for Development in October of 2009. Since the 2010 overthrow he has been charged with embezzlement and abuse of power by the interim government. It is suspected that transferred about $35 million of a $300 million loan from Russia into his private bank accounts.[3] Prosecutors also allege that companies he owned almost $80 million in taxes on aviation fuel.

And finally, his latest and current status has been summed up below:

When the 2010 uprising took place, Bakiyev was headed to the US for a series of meetings in Washington.[5] However, he never showed up, and it is believed he spent his time in Latvia. In May Interpol posted Maxim Bakiyev as wanted on its website.

On June 13, 2010 Maksim was arrested in the UK when he landed at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire in a privately hired jet.[6] He is seeking asylum there, but the interim Kyrgyz government is demanding his extradition. A senior Kyrgyz official warned that the interim government would consider shutting down the Manas US airbase if Britain refuses to hand him over. [7] However, this was later denounced by president of Kyrgyzstan, Otunbaeva.

On June 18, 2010, it was reported that Bakiyev was granted temporary asylum in the UK, but this was later refuted by the UK Border Agency. [8] He does however have permission to stay pending consideration of request for asylum.

As you can see above, I highlighted another important missing link – a major point that has been so far glossed-over: This fugitive was initially headed to the US for a series of meetings in Washington. And these meetings were set up during and after the scandals involving him coming into the surface. Okay, at The State Department, CIA, and of course the not-so-visible agenda-setters at their companies, think tanks, and front NGOs? Then what happened? I guess  it was decided that he was too hot of a potato in too hot of an environment, so our State Department put a request to their counterparts in Britain to kindly ‘receive and harbor’ their ‘groomed & planted’ Kyrgyz prince…and they did.

So the above information is the sketch, the general story line on the ‘Bakiyev Story.’ Then, there are some additional juicy details and tidbits provided by a few, although still highly sanitized and consciously refrained from posing ‘the real’ questions. Let’s take a look at these and pose logical questions as we go.

Maksim Bakiyev & ‘Foreign’ Facilitated Embezzlement Schemes

So how did Maksim Bakiyev’s meager personal business grow into a major empire encompassing banking, oil, and telecommunication industries? We don’t have the complete answer to this question; not yet. Not with so much information still buried and ‘protected,’ and with only little sketchy details here and there. [Read more...]
